Massillon Cable TV and Clear Picture are local companies. We take pride in the fact that we live and work among the people we serve in Stark and Wayne Counties. We plan to continue to do that. However, The DTV Rollout is a huge project. It will not be possible without the assistance of others, so you may find a new voice on the phone, see some new equipment or experience a new process during this large project. We still have our local offices, staffed by local people and will continue that long into the future. We have formed some new and unique partnerships to accomplish this task. Some of these relationships are temporary. Others are more permanent. They include:
Stark MRDD – The Workshops, Inc. (part of Stark MRDD) will act as our shipping and handling department for the DTV Rollout. We designed a special computer interface to the UPS Worldwide Shipping program so the hard-working members of our DTV Rollout Crew can pick, label and ship Mini-Max converters as soon as they are ordered.
About Stark MRDD - The Stark County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities provides services from infancy onward to nearly 3,000 Stark County residents with mild, moderate, severe, or profound mental retardation or other developmental disabilities. These services include school programs beginning with Early Intervention and Preschool, and continuing throughout the school-age years. For adults, we provide workshops and supported employment in the community. Senior citizens also benefit from specially designed programs. The Board also provides residential care in the community with appropriate supports based on individual needs.
Active Support Center – The Active Support Center is providing us with technical and ordering assistance. Additional telephone agents will answer questions, order converters and provide self-installation support. They have special training and high-capacity telephone systems to allow us to serve more customers more quickly.
About the Active Support Center – A division of Universal Electronics, Inc, the Active Support Center is located in Twinsburg, Ohio. They have been working with cable TV companies across the country for more than 20 years to assist with special projects for both inbound and outbound customer calls.
Evolution Broadband – Evolution Broadband developed a new type of low-cost digital-to-analog converter in conjunction with Massillon Cable TV and Clear Picture.

Conax – Signal security is an important factor in all modern communications. Conax was selected as the vendor to provide the conditional access system used in the DTV Rollout.

Contec – A new type of remote control unit capable of controlling the new converter and a wide assortment of TV sets is essential. Contec, a leading manufacturer of remote controls, was selected to produce this new, custom-designed remote control.
